Your information should stay yours.
Last updated: September 14, 2026. This policy explains how RedHibiscus LLC handles information in the Optiio mobile app and on this website.
Optiio is built for publisher records
Optiio helps publishers keep return visits, people, and Bible-study progress organized. Those records can include sensitive information about people who did not consent to being in a database. The app is designed to limit access to the publisher who owns the record.
Information the app handles
To provide sign-in and sync, the app handles your account email and authentication information through our authentication provider. Your password is used for sign-in and is not stored by Optiio.
The app can store the information you choose to enter, including names, addresses, phone numbers, ministry status, notes, scheduled and completed visits, visit outcomes, Bible study publications and progress, goals, questions, and lesson history.
Local-first storage and sync
New records are written to the phone's local database first. This is why a visit can still be saved when there is no signal. When a signed-in device is connected, the app synchronizes those records to the account's cloud data store through our sync provider.
Every synced record is associated with the authenticated publisher who owns it. Server access controls enforce that boundary; it is not dependent on a filter in the app. Unauthenticated access cannot reach ministry records.
Signing out
Signing out clears the app's local records and sync state from that device. Anything that had not synchronized before sign-out is removed from that device and cannot be recovered from the server. Records that already synchronized remain associated with the account until they are deleted through an available product control or support process.
How the app uses information
Account information is used to authenticate you and associate your records with your account. Ministry records are used to provide the calendar, people directory, visit history, and study features. RedHibiscus LLC does not sell ministry records or use them for advertising.
Service providers
We use authentication and sync providers to handle sign-in and the hosted data store for the app. The app sends synced records to those services only for an authenticated account and when network access is available. The mobile app does not send ministry records to this website.
Sentry provides crash and error diagnostics for the mobile apps. When something fails, the app may send technical details (stack traces, device and app version, and the environment name) so we can fix issues that affect your device. That report may include your Optiio account email and user id so support can tell which publisher is affected. It must not include ministry records: contact names, phones, addresses, notes, tags, or similar third-party content. Screenshots, session replay, and native crash dumps that bypass redaction are disabled.
Information this website handles
Optiio is available on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. This website points you to those listings. If the waitlist is enabled, the website may also collect the email address you enter, your optional interest in iPhone or Android, and your consent to receive an availability email. Waitlist contacts are stored with Resend.
This website never asks for or stores congregation information, names, phone numbers, addresses, ministry notes, study status, territory details, or other ministry records. Do not put ministry data into any website form.
Your choices
You can choose whether to download the app, whether to use the waitlist when it is offered, and whether to provide optional platform interest. You can unsubscribe from availability emails at any time. You can also sign out of the mobile app to clear its local copy from that device.
If you delete your Optiio account, ministry records associated with that account are removed from the server. Account-deletion requests should also ask support to purge diagnostic events tied to your account in Sentry.
